Through CrossFit training, you undergo crazy ranges of motion, intense workloads, and mental and physical stress. Initially your body is crazy shocked and stressed. The body will increase musculature then stabilize once it realizes it wasn’t just a one time thing. The weight on your body may increase. This doesn’t mean you’re becoming less fit or more fat, your body composition is changing. Muscles go through a process of hypertrophy (growing), which will increase body weight initially and push the superficial adipose layer outward giving you the feeling of “bulking up”.
There are many ways to help measure your bodyfat, all with varying degrees of accuracy. One of the most, if not the most, forms of bodyfat testing is hydrostatic, or dunk tank method.

How much need to lose to reach your goal.
An accurate reading of your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR- the rate at which you burn calories over a 24 hr period while completely at rest).
