We ALL have bad days… Relationship problems, sleeping problems, work, your boss is riding you or doesn’t let you take a day off (boy I can sure relate), didn’t have time to eat, etc… Shit happens. Simple as that.
People use exercise as a great way to vent and release stress. Trust me, it’s my major vice! CrossFit is a phenomenal way to release tension, blow your WOD, and get a great endorphin rush! However, sometimes you just don’t have it in you… If you are committed to taking a class, give 100%! Simple as that… If you don’t, you are setting yourself up for injury either by not being as explosive with a dynamic movement (like most of the lifts we do), or by simply not paying attention and setting yourself up to get hurt or hurt others.
Whatever the case may be, if you are in class, try! Simple as that… Like I said, we are all human and it’s impossible to be “on” 100% of the time, but when you are here, get after it! You’ll feel SO much better when you are done and you’ll be safer.
Group training is an amazing way to get out of your funk. If you feel unmotivated in a class, get next to someone that is a hard worker! If you are still kind of new or don’t know who to be next to, talk to any of our coaches before class, we’ll tell you where to go. It’s a great way to get to know someone and to help to forget about your troubles.
Bad days happen, talk to someone! If you are really distracted and having a rough emotional day, talk to any one of us prior to class, if it’s a really rough day and you just need to be left alone and do your work out, just communicate.
