Due to the nature of the movements and and intensities, as we have seen on Monday, hand health is a very important factor when it comes to training. Ripped calluses look impressive to the average CrossFitter and disgusting to the average Globo Gym goer (whom in between sets of bench lotion up the hands, haha). However, ripped hands lead to missed training sessions or alternations to the WOD. Take care of your hands! A couple things I do to protect my hands are to shave the calluses, yes, shave them. With a regular razor that you would shave body hair with, use a form of moisterizer at night, I use Cornhuskers Lotion, my hands seem to be pretty good since changing my proactive hand care.
