Do to the high volume of people showing up in the mornings, Rocklin CrossFit will be adding extra classes in the mornings to help facilitate the demand. In this mornings WOD, there were 21 people in here giving it their all during the famous “Fight Gone Bad”! The morning classes are filling fast! We have had an enormous demand for morning training creating a highly competitive and fun enviornment to keep pushing. Awesome job guys, night crew, we still love ya too. Just try to not let the rough days at work and school slow down your training. In fact, after a rough day in the office or studying, rigorous activity has been proven to help de-stress the body and create a happy hormone enriched brain! Happy training guys!
Day 2 of the CrossFit Sectionals are highlighted in this video. It is a great video, but does not do justice with the amount of intensity and heart that the athletes had and displayed. A f
ew from Rocklin CrossFit were prepared enough to make it to Day 2. Awesome job to everyone that made it and for those who competed in the competition!

If you are not feeling this way at the end of a WOD, re-evaluate why you are here! Upon excellent technique, go hard! Try to avoid just going through the motions during a WOD. Again, once technical skills are there, go for it. If you feel as though you just have nothing in the “tank”, take a day off. One day of rest can do a world of difference for your overall performance. I have stressed this before, Rocklin CrossFit does n

ot close, nor post “Rest Days” on the website. That DOES NOT mean, workout with this much intensity seven days a week. Rest and recovery is just as important as being a firebreather during a WOD. Many of you know that I am a hippocrit when it comes to rest, but believe it or not, I am trying. A little rest now may save you from a mandatory six weeks off due to injury. I promise, its not worth it!

Over last weekend, co-owner Todd Weygandt took his CrossFit Certification course in Novato, CA. His comittment to gather his certification forced him to do it on Easter. So for that, we thank you. Todd is excited to jump in to helping others achieve maximal fortitude in fitness. So, when you see him make his appearance, quiz him. Ask him what he learned, help solidify his knowledge base, soon enough, he’ll be in here training us.
Awesome job Todd, so here’s the deal… For every one person that can identify where Todd is in his picture, email us and he’ll do 10 burpees for each identification!
